Citymoves Dance Agency want to create a new dance work which will have its World Premiere at His Majesty's Theatre and launch at the DanceLive 2012 Festival.
Guilty? Not Guilty? Deliberance will be a new dance work, choreographed by Andy Howitt, with an original score composed by Stephen Deazley. Set in a jury room, 12 strangers come together and during the course of one night slowly and sometimes explosively begin to express their opinions. Is there reasonable doubt? How can they work through conflict to build consensus?
The work will feature 12 of the leading male dancers from Scotland on stage, and music created especially for the production, performed live. The work will be an intensely physical, unique and ground-breaking production. The collaborators and performers we want to work with for this unique production are of a very high standard in their chosen field, with a commitment to making new and exciting large-scale dance productions that will challenge and inspire a new audience for dance.
Your contribution will help us to create the first major new dance work produced in the North East of Scotland, and the first co-production between Citymoves Dance Agency and Aberdeen Performing Arts.
