How do I change the email address in my account?
We understand that people move jobs or set up new email addresses quite often, so we're here to help. Email us at hello@AngelShares.com with the old and new email address, plus your name and address, and we'll be in touch to sort it for you.
Can you help - I'm having problems logging in to my account?
We're sorry. We know that can be frustrating and we'll try to fix the problem ASAP.
Starting a Project
How do I upload my image to my account page?
You can embed the code for video footage or upload photos to your page. If you get stuck, email us on hello@AngelShares.com and we'll get back to you soonest.
Can we edit our project page details?
You will be able to input information and edit it, right up to the point when the project goes live. We don't want you to change it after that point, as it isn't fair on those who may already have donated.
Launching a Project
Why do you vet each project?
There's a number of reasons. We want to ensure that the projects on our site are of the highest possible quality, and we also want to help you to get the most from our site. From our experience in fundraising over many decades, we may be able to help you to make things clearer and therefore more likely to attract support.
Because we collect Gift Aid on behalf of charities, we also have to check that they are indeed registered charities, and that all organisations have valid bank account details.
Managing a Project
Can we change the rewards we are offering once a project has started?
Not really. It might not be fair to those who have already pledged AngelShares if the groundrules changed partway through the project's timeframe.
Can we extend the deadline of our project?
Again, it's not really fair to those who have already chosen to back your project. If you don't reach your target, you are free to resubmit the project after one month has elapsed. However, we'd recommend that you break down the project into smaller chunks which are more likely to gain support.
We've pulled out of the project – can our donors get a refund?
If the project is cancelled while you are still fundraising, your donors' AngelShares will be returned to their account and they will be able to reallocate them.
If, however, you've reached or exceeded your target, you will be asked to declare that the project is going ahead before you receive the funds. We understand that very occasionally something will happen which will mean that you can't complete the project as originally envisaged, even after you've received the money. In that case, we recommend that you keep in touch with your supporters and tell them exactly what's happening.

Rewards for donors
Who creates the rewards?
The organisations and individuals posting projects to this site are able to create rewards completely as they wish.
When and how do I receive my reward?
If you have pledged AngelShares towards a project with a timeframe, you'll receive your reward after the target has been reached or exceeded. Do bear in mind that it could take some time for that to come to fruition; commissions, in particular, are often funded quite a long way in advance.
If you've pledged AngelShares against a project with no timeframe, the organisation will receive the money much sooner and so you'll get your reward sooner too.
In both cases, it's the responsibility of the organisation or individual running the project you want to support to fulfill the rewards.

Is there a way to share information on the projects through sites like Twitter, Facebook, etc?
Yes, you'll find icons for Facebook and Twitter at the bottom of each page. Additionally, you'll see links to over 300 bookmarking and sharing sites beside each of the project, so you can tell all your contacts about the projects you support.

Can people donate from overseas?
Yes, we accept donations from anywhere in the world, but please check that the rewards being offered are still suitable if you live overseas.
